The Bristol Meditation Group presents - Teachings from a lineage of Enlightened Women
Yeshe Tsogyel - the Female Tantric Buddha
Class with Mé-tsal Wangmo, Shé-zér Khandro & Namgyal Dorje
UK In-person only
The Aro Bristol Meditation Group meets on Tuesday evenings for talks, teachings and meditation practice. The group is lead by experienced ordained students from the Aro Tradition, and builds quickly from a core set of teachings on the fundamentals of meditation to encompass a broad spectrum of Buddhist meditation practice.
This Autumn, join us for a selection of teachings from a 'Lineage of Enlightened Women'. The Mother Essence Lineage is an all female lineage that traces its roots back to the arrival of Buddhism in Tibet in the 8th Century, but whose teachings are highly pertinent to those living a busy modern lifestyle in the West.
These classes are open to all - those with no experience of meditation, and those with extensive practice; those with no knowledge of Buddhism, and also committed practitioners.
Session Six - This session introduces Yeshe Tsogyel - the female tantric Buddha - and explains the role of symbolism within Buddhist practice and how we often ignore symbol in our everyday lives.
7.30pm until 9pm, Tuesday evenings, at Bristol Steiner School, Redland Hill, Bristol.
