Class with Shé-zér Khandro & Namgyal Dorje

Buddhist teachings on uncontrived authenticity and the simple communication of kindness

Suitable for those who are new to Buddhism, as well as experienced practitioners, this short course of two evenings' teaching will introduce practices of mind, body and speech as they relate to the universal human experiences of meeting to share food, social dancing and written communication.

These specific teachings originate from the Ling Gésar gTérma (literally ‘treasure’ of Ling Gésar – revealed Buddhist teachings) which is founded on the core principles of compassionate communication, spiritual warriorship and the enactment of enlightened society.

Ngakma Shé-zér Khandro and Ngakpa Namgyal Dorje are experienced teachers of the Aro gTér lineage, a Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist tradition which is principally concerned with transforming our experience of everyday being, emphasising simplicity, clarity, and depth - both of practice and understanding.

They are not monks or nuns, but ordained Tantrikas – whose lives are, in many ways, quite ordinary. Their wisdom is embodied in the ways they live everyday life. Facing the same life challenges as their students, they are able to offer advice that is grounded in personal experience as well as profound religious understanding.

They write:

"The arising of natural dignity grants true authenticity that transcends the boundaries of past and present; a quality of genuineness that would not seem out of place in any era. An authenticity of being, that communicates itself to others through our gestures, spirit, and state of Mind."
