The above statue of Ngak’chang Drüpchen Aro Yeshé was made by Rabi Raj Shakya, the statue maker who made statues for Dung-sé Thrin-lé Norbu Rinpoche. Ngak’chang Rinpoche met Rabi Raj Shakya at Pema ’ö-Sel Ling when he was invited there by Lama Tharchin Rinpoche. Rabi Raj Shakya comes from an ancient Buddhist family of statue makers and, although he suffers health problems now, is regarded as one of the finest statue makers living.
