Crystal Ornaments

Shèl-gyèn (shel rGyan / ཤེལ་རྒྱན་) Crystal Ornaments used for the Peaceful Yidam Dorje Gar’cham (rDo rJe sGar ‘cham / རྡོ་རྗེ་སྒར་འཆམ་ ) Vajra Dance. The Shèl rGyan comprise: crown, necklace, tabard, chest ornaments, armlets, wristlets, apron, and anklets.

Once these shèl rGyan sets are completed we shall begin work of the Chi-ru rGyan (byi ru rGyan / བྱི་རུ་རྒྱན་) the red coral ornaments of the joyous yidams.

Sang-ngak-chö-dzong had 50 sets of ru rGyan (human bone ornaments of the wrathful yidams) made in Nepal in 1998.

Those who take gö kar chang lo (gos dKar lCang lo / གོས་དཀར་ལྕང་ལོ་ ) ordination should always attempt to acquire their own sets.

Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen— on the advice of their own Lamas (Kyabjé Künzang Dorje Rinpoche and Jomo Sam‘phel Déchen Rinpoche)

regard it as important for those with Vajrayana gö kar chang lo (gos dKar lCang lo / གོས་དཀར་ལྕང་ལོ ) ordination to be equipped with ru rGyan.

It will be marvellous to have made all three sets of vajra dance ornaments.
