A salvaged photograph from the archives
This was an almost unusable monochrome photograph of Ngak’chang Rinpoche from 1969 which has been salvaged with PhotoShop. The figures have been colourised according to Ngak’chang Rinpoche’s memory of the time. This photograph was taken in Trafalgar Square in London. Ngak’chang Rinpoche is with Rosemary Luke — a school friend. They had just gone to see Ken Russel’s ‘The Devils of Loudon’ — a film that they did not enjoy too well due to the ‘death by fire scene’ at the end. They found the antics of the naked nuns fairly amusing however - but had wished for a happy ending.
