Zhal’mèd Yé-rig
Ngakpa Zhal’mèd has been a student of Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen since 2001. He was ordained as a Ngakpa in May 2004.
Zhal’mèd specialises in phurba.
He practices the Aro gTér phurbas as well as the gTermas of Ngak’chang Akyong Düd’dül Dorje; a prodigious phurba master and gTerton whom was a student of Khyungchen Aro Lingma.
Zhal’mèd has studied closely under the guidance of Khar-trül Wangchuk Rig’dzin Rinpoche (མཁར་སྤྲུལ་དབང་ཕྲུག་རིག་འཛིན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་), the incarnation of Kharchen Palgyi Wangchuk — one of the 25 disciples of Guru Rinpoche – who attained realization through the practice of Dorje Phurba. Under Khar-trül Rinpoche’s guidance he has studied phurba according to the Peling Lineage, the Düd’jom gTér and Rinpoche’s personal tradition.
Zhal’mèd specializes in srung mChod – the practice of the protectors – and its associated mahayoga methods, as ways to affect positive change for individuals and the environment.
Ngakpa Zhal’mèd lives in Paris, France, and teaches in English and French.
