Ngak’chang Rinpoche & Khandro Déchen and their sanghas wish Everyone Everywhere a Merry Lo-gSar and Delightfully ebullient creative year ahead. May all obstacles (bar chad / བར་ཆད་) be overcome and the negativity of the old year be averted.

We perform the Black Hat Dance every year in the night before Lo-gSar to avert the negativity of the old year and to eliminate barchèd (bar chad / བར་ཆད་) obstacles. Obstacles come in many forms — but one is ‘old habits’ at Gutor we have the chances to rid ourselves of old habits and negative dualistic coping strategies.
