

The North American Phurba Project & Craft Retreat
Retreat with Shardröl Du-nyam Wangmo, Trögyal Dorje, Pema Zangmo & Dzü’drül Pamo

At this 9-day apprentice retreat we will:
Begin work on an Aro gTer Monumental Phurba, like the one in Austria but even bigger, under the direction of Ngakpa Trogyal Dorje
Create a 6-foot square applique thangka of Dorje Trollo, under the direction of Ngakma Pema Zangmo
Practice & perform Dorje Phurba Cham (Dance), under the direction of Naljorma Dzu'drul Pamo
Instruction will be available in these & other tantric crafts. Apprentices from all Aro sanghas are enthusiastically encouraged to attend, especially those with particular knowledge or interest in craft work.
NOTE: THE LAST DAY OF THE RETREAT (SATURDAY AFTERNOON, JULY 3) WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. You can see the work on the phurba, watch a performance of phurba dance & hear a talk on practice. Please contact sdwangmo@gmail.com for further information on this.
