The geography of the elements and emotions

During this weekend, Ngakma Déwang and Naljorpa Traktung will explain how Dzogchen allows the most painful and most joyous emotions to expand into their innately limitless condition. These teachings are not for those without strong emotions, or without the courage to experience their heights and depths as an opportunity to be totally alive.

We will explore the nature of duality and nonduality in such a way as to break open the mechanism of delusion. Once seen – this mechanism can never again suppress natural dignity.

By considering the natural symbolism of the phenomenal world, we can learn to understand the qualities of the elements that constitute our physical, emotional, and psychological situation. The elements - earth, water, fire, air, and space - are a continuum which runs through both the physical world and the visionary world.

For practitioners, this understanding opens the opportunity for appreciative, compassionate communication and interaction with reality.
