Kharchen Palgyi Wangchuk, one of the twenty five disciples of Guru Rinpoche. He was the brother of Yeshe Tsogyel and gained realisation through the practice of Dorje Phurba. His present day incarnation, Rinzin Wangchuk Rinpoche, established the position for the construction of our thirty foot high monumental phurba at Drala Jong.
