Drala Jong Anniversary Appeal 2020

The 4th of October saw the first anniversary of our purchase of Drala Jong. The Lineage Holders – Khandro Déchen and Ngak’chang Rinpoche celebrated with a Ri-wo Sang-chod (ri bo bSang mChod / རི་བོ་བྶང་མཆོད་) – Mountain Smoke Profferment online with their sangha and their friend the Bhutanes Lama—and Doctor of Linguistics—Wangchuk Rin’dzin Rinpoche, father of gTértön Drukdra Rinpoche.

To celebrate the first anniversary of our purchase of the Drala Jong Retreat Centre, we are fundraising to prepare the centre for the future building of the Monumental Phurba.

Among the many tasks to be completed before this momentous occasion, we need to prepare the courtyard, improve the access road, complete the shrine room, landscape trees and hedges to make way for telephone and fibre optic cables and various other redevelopment projects.
