Entering the Heart of the Sun and Moon
Romantic Relationship as Practice
Teaching with Déwang Pamo & Trak'thung Dorje
Austria In-person only
On Friday evening, Ngakma Déwang and Naljorpa Trak’thung will be offering an overview and introduction to the history of the "white sangha", in Tibetan Gö kar chang lo'i de (Gos dKar lCang lo'i sDe). Gö kar (Gos dKar) means "white robe", chang lo (lCang lo) "long, uncut hair". De (sDe) means assembly. This lineage of practice that is non-monastic and non-celibate (but monogamous) is particularly suited to those who seek to integrate work and family life with dedicated Buddhist practice, following the Dzogchen view of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism.
Saturday will be dedicated to the fundamental and introductory teachings on romantic relationship as practice in this context. Ngakma Déwang and Naljorpa Trak’thung will elaborate on “Entering the Heart of the Sun and Moon”, a commentary on the Khandro dPa’wo Nyi-da Mélong Gyüd (mKha’ ’gro dPa bo nyi zLa me long rGyud), translated as “Mirror which reflects the Sun and Moon of the Khandros and dPa’wos”, as it is taught and practiced in the Aro gTér.
