Yogic Song
Finding the presence of awareness in the dimension of sound
Class with Rin’dzin Pamo
UK In-person only
This class teaches yogic song, a method for meditation with the voice. It is suitable for beginners and for those who have been meditating for some time. Singing ability is not necessary. These songs are simple but powerful, and sound beautiful when sung by anyone.
The class includes teaching, periods of song and of silent sitting meditation, and time for questions, answers, and discussion. The teacher will review the method of silent sitting meditation before we practice it.
Yogic song is a powerful method for overcoming obstacles in meditation. It works with bodily energy and acoustic resonance to dispel distraction and engender vigorous vitality.
Near the end of this page, you can play examples of yogic song directly on the web. (No download or special software necessary.)
