West Coast Aro and Ling Gésar practice group

The West Coast Aro sangha holds a practice day once a month. Anyone can attend. This is a good entry point for people interested in Vajrayana: outside formal practice sessions there is time to chat, ask questions about Aro and meet local sangha members. There is no cost to attend but please bring a contribution for the potluck lunch.

The schedule for the practice days is:

10:30 to 11:00am Arrivals

11:00 to 12:30pm Ying'khor (gentle physical exercise from the Ling Gésar gTérma)

12:30 to 1:30pm Potluck lunch

1:30 to 3:00pm Silent sitting and yogic song

3:00 to 4:00pm Questions, discussion, goodbyes

Our monrning physical practice is 'ying 'khor,'literally 'space cycle'. The ying'khor require roughly the same physical exertion as qigong. This group can accommodate you, whatever your physical ability, so please don't hold back on the grounds that you may find them too strenuous. We'll practice exercises that are most suited to those who attend.

After 3:00pm participants either leave to travel home or stay for another hour of practice, exercise or questions and discussion, depending on preferences.
