Awake and Radiant

In a world that often feels uncertain, fast-moving, and unpredictable, many of us search for guidance and stability—something we can truly rely on and that gives our lives a meaningful direction. What practical steps can we take to develop clarity and manifest in the world in a beneficial way?

The introductory evening talk and following day of teachings addresses these questions, which are just as relevant today as they were in the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni. Buddhist practice offers a path to “awaken” to insight and compassionate activity, a path that has been cultivated for over two thousand years amidst uncertainty and change.

The meditation methods and perspective presented come from the Aro gTér lineage of the Nyingma tradition, the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism. The view and practice of the Aro gTér show how we can approach life with confidence, courage, and appreciation—regardless of what experiences the present moment may bring.

We will practice formal meditation and also explore how to integrate practice in our daily life and routines.

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and clarify your understanding.

Everyone is welcome, no previous experience is required.

Ngakma Déwang Pamo and Naljorpa Trak’thung Dorje are ordained disciples of Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen, the lineage holders of the Aro gTér. They are particularly inspired by the fact that the Aro gTér tradition is rich in profound teachings and practices that can also be integrated with a busy professional and family life.
