Vajrayana Craft
Making a cloud and chö'pen for your damaru
Workshop
US Online only
Ngakma Dé-zér Khandro and Naljorma gZa'rtsal dPa'mo invite you to a series of Zoom gatherings featuring Vajrayana craft as a method integrating meditation into everyday activities.
In the article The Art of Thangka Midwifery in Vajrayana, Khandro Déchen writes, "From the perspective of the Dzogchen teachings however – any activity can be integrated into the meditative state. This is the approach which we adopt when teaching our students – because, it is hard not to adopt this approach if one wishes to be faithful to the dimension of vision."
The first gathering will provide an introduction to design considerations, materials, and helpful tips to make the sPring pa (cloud) and chos 'phen (reality flag) for your damaru. We will make sPring pa and chos 'phen over several gatherings after the introduction.
This Vajrayana Craft Zoom space will be open each week for virtual craftwork gatherings, craft support, and conversation.
This series is for all levels of craft experience.
