Teaching with Ngak’chang Rinpoche, Khandro Déchen, Mé-tsal Wangmo, Nor’dzin Pamo & Shé-zér Khandro

The committee of Sang-ngak-chö-dzong invites you to join us in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the charity’s formal establishment, and the encouragement and support that this has provided for Nyingma Vajrayana practice in the West, particularly in helping to build a community of gö-kar-chang-lo’i-dé (‘white-skirt, long-hair’ – non-monastic) practitioners. Much has been accomplished over the last 25 years and this day of activities, talks and presentations gives us an opportunity to celebrate and share with you some of our tradition, which is rich in sitting practices, yogic song and physical practices, martial arts, Tantric craft and artistic activity. Subjects covered by the talks will include the history and future of gö-kar-chang-lo’i-dé Vajrayana Buddhism, an overview of the Aro gTér tradition and its practices, and romantic relationship as Buddhist practice. The talks will be presented by the lineage holders, Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen, and by other lamas from the Aro gTér lineage. Workshops and interactive demonstrations will also be offered on Buddhist crafts, dance and physical practices, as well as thangka painting and musical instruments of the (gloriously cacophonous) tantric orchestra. The day will conclude with an evening reception of wine, canapés and Regency Dance. Full details of the event can be found on the website here: https://celebration.arocharity.org.uk
