So often in life we are dissatisfied with what we have, always yearning for more, better or different. This course will explain why we are so unhappy with life and how Buddhist teachings can make sense of the world around us.
The course will include:
• Teachings on the four noble truths, compassion and karma
• The 5 Owl Precepts – guidelines for living with total presence which concern the application of awareness in our daily lives. These are 5 principles of awareness which infuse the sense-fields.
• The practices of eating, drinking alcohol, and the practice of establishing confidence in actuality – refuge.
