The Aro Path
An overview of an unusual Buddhist lineage
Class with Rin’dzin Pamo
UK In-person only
Please note change of venue; this event is now at the Islington location, rather than at Albion College.
This class explains Aro’s unusual approach and distinctive characteristics. It describes the range of programmes Aro offers and the series of ‘phases’ that constitute the Aro path: a life-long structure for Buddhist practice and learning.
The class includes teaching, periods of silent sitting meditation and yogic song, and time for questions, answers, and discussion. The teacher will review the method of meditation before we practice it.
The Aro lineage is particularly well-suited for those of us who are passionately involved in ordinary Western life. Aro teaches the integration of Buddhist practice with career and family life. It makes central the spiritual dimension of romantic relationship, artistic creativity, and the pursuit of challenging physical skills.
To get a taste of these teachings: elsewhere on this site, you can read an introduction to Aro and an overview of the Aro path.
