Singing Power into Being
Yogic Song in the Dzogchen Tradition
Teaching with Ngak’chang Rinpoche
US In-person only
Singing of any kind has a positive effect on health and vitality. In the Dzogchen tradition, singing can be a way to discover the subtle resonances of the dimension of sound as a field of awareness. Ngak’chang Rinpoche will introduce the practices of Dzogchen ’gardang—yogic song—and speak about their principle and function. The relationship between breath and mind will be explored, and practical methods for strengthening the breath will be presented. There will be group yogic song practice and silent sitting meditation. No pre-existing singing talent is required.
