Sartorial retreat

This sartorial event at sGra bLa lJongs will be a na bZa’ mTshams—Sartorialist Retreat—in which everyone creates an item of clothing. Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen have asked Naljorma Kha'drön to teach tailoring techniques and to guide people in the process. Each person would bring fabric and a pattern (or a garment they wish to copy or adapt from an original). Kha'drön will then guide you as best she can. It will not matter if you’re a beginner in sewing. As long as you have a project that is not too complicated — there is no problem in being new to the craft.

This is a very nice opportunity to spend informal time together with Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen and making clothes together.

'We tend to assume that we individually appreciate the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the books we read and the music to which we listen - but it is mainly dictated by fashion and group consesus. Very few people are free to be individual and authentically appreciate anything.'
