Teaching with Mé-tsal Wangmo

aro-ling-shrine

“The Paramitas ultimately are actions which are free from the crimp of duality – actions which arise spontaneously from the non-dual state. They are the actions of the bodhisattva, the awakened mind-warrior who has gone beyond the confines of referentiality, and who dwells within the meaning of ocean and its ornamental waves.” Khandro Déchen

The day will explore the paramitas as the practice of irrepressible expansiveness and appropriate spontaneity – which enables us to live a life of cheerful involvement and open-minded energetic commitment.

The 10 paramitas:

Generosity

Discipline [energy / morality]

Patience

Diligence

Openness [transcendental knowledge or insight]

Knowledge

Method – skilful means

Aspiration power

Strength

Primordial wisdom

The path of the awakened mind-warrior is not one of aggression. It is the path of developing the warrior qualities of fearlessness and the capacity to act without the clutter of self-cherishing motives. Moving us beyond our perceived self-limitations to self-less non-dual activity.
