Inescapable Immediacy
Finding One's Seat
Talk with Chhi’mèd Künzang
US In-person only
The acts of riding and of silent sitting mirror one another in myriad obvious and subtle ways. This is made explicit in Rang-rig Togden's Ling Gésar tradition. Naljorpa Chhi'mèd Künzang will introduce Gésar Training through a discussion on the nature of this mirroring. He will employ the tsig-sum-né-dek, 'Striking the Essence in Three Lines' to explore the relationship between 'finding one's seat' on the meditation cushion, on horseback, and in the inescapable immediacy of everyday physicality.
