Embracing Emotions as the Path
Weekend event with Déwang Pamo & Trak'thung Dorje
Wien, Österreich
Austria
In-person only
What if – we could stop taking our own neuroses so seriously, and other people’s neuroses so personally? If we could nourish our innate wisdom and compassion rather than invest in anger and depression?
Ngakma Déwang Pamo and Naljorpa Traktung Dorje will introduce selected methods of Dzogchen by which our most painful— as well as our most joyous—emotions can be allowed to relax into their own innately limitless condition.
These teachings are not for those without strong emotions, or without the courage to experience their heights and depths as an opportunity to be totally alive. During this weekend retreat, the nature of duality and non-duality will be explained in such a way as to break open the mechanism of delusion. Once seen, this delusion, the dictator of neuroses, cannot obscure our luminous nature in quite the same way.
Laying bare the cyclic patterns of duality, the teachings offer a vision of freedom from the self-defeating strategies that rule our lives. “In order to be real, to dance ecstatically in the dimension of our own individual experience, we need to welcome the raw texture of whatever we may feel. We need to embrace the energy of our own being with tender ferocity.”—Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen
